TSC to release teachers for election officials
Dr. Nancy Macharia instructed the sub-county and county education managers to ensure that all teachers return to school on August 11, 2022, when schools will be reopened.
She also said that they should grant all teachers who have been tapered by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission as election officials in the coming General elections as per the requirements of the Code of Regulation for teachers.
She also focused the institutional administrators on certifying that all schools selected by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission as polling centers are made accessible for the workout.
Basic learning institutions, on Tuesday, released scholars following a directive by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha that schools close by Tuesday, August 2, to pave the way for the General Election set.
Prof George Magoha, through a media release, said that schools should let learners go for an early mid-term break for a period of ten days and go back on Thursday 11th August 2022.
Cabinet Secretary George Magoha had previously specified that the organizations will close from Saturday but enlightened that the decision to have them shut from Tuesday was informed by further discussions.
