Teachers have till 18th October, to register with the Knec if they wish to be emloyed as invigilators or supervisors in the upcoming National Examinations.

According to a circular released by TSC, Teachers Service Commission Sub- County Directors must submit teachers who will man the exams this year.

These includes the supervisors, invigilators and centre managers who will help in administration of 2022 KCPE, DECTE, KPSEA and KCPE exams and assessment.

Last year, Teachers Service Commission vetted and identified a total of 242,406 teachers who were used to manage the national examination while the interior ministry positioned more than 45,000 security officers for the exercise.

A total of 70,486 tutors who were assessed by the commission managed last year’s KCSE examinations.

A total of 831,015 candidates listed for the KCSE examination which was ran in 10,413 centres.

The examination materials and other supplies were served from 483 circulation centres.

The council listed 1,225,507 KCPE candidates in 28,316 examination centres which were aided from 491 distribution centres.

Kenya National Examination Council combined centres that had less than 30 candidates to cut down the rate of logistics. This affected 151 centres whose candidates were accommodated elsewhere.

According to Kenya National Examination Council only the Teachers Service Commission teachers will be permitted to invigilate and supervise this year’s national exams and assessments.

Those to be selected as invigilators, supervisors and centre managers must also not have last displinary cases with their employer.

The instructor must also not be in any form of permission from their employer TSC.
