Promotion interviews for Secondary and Primary school teachers seeking administrative position enters the second week.
Deputy Head Teachers in Primary schools who are job group C4 want to be placed and confirmed to be promoted to Head Teachers.
Some Head Teachers who are in hard and Asal areas and who are in C4 are fighting in order to be placed in job group C5.
In last week so many Head Teachers, Deputy Head Teachers and Senior teachers for both Secondary schools and Primary schools were interviewed.
The interviews started in early 20th this month in some counties. The interview panels were led by the Teachers Service Commission County Directors
Those others wo participated in interviewing the teachers included Sub County Directors and Deputy County Directors from both the ministry of education and the Teachers Service Commission.
Present of questioning were also the Curriculum Support Officers (CSo’s) from all the zones in the county.
Candidates were required to present seven documents during the interview as follows:
- Original National ID card.
- Original Academic and Professional certificates.
- Letter of appointment to the current post (where applicable).
- Letter of appointment to the current grade.
- Performance appraisal reports for 2020, 2021 and 2022.
- Analyzed individual subject results in KCSE/KCPE Examination for the last three years certified by TSC County Director/ Sub County Director.
- Any other relevant testimonials supporting your performance.
However, into some counties teachers were asked to produce the confirmation of the appointment letter for their current grades which many lacked.
The questions asked by the panel ranged from day to day running of the school to current and emerging issues.
They were advised to visit their Sub County directors Offices for the letters. The panel used the teachers most recent pay slips to confirm their job groups.
