TSC is under pressure from parliament to immediately close the corrective delocalization policy and transfer those already pretentious back to their home counties.
The house has enquired TSC to come up with a plan that will see recently recruited teachers being dispatched within their home counties saying delocalization policy has interrupted conducive working environment for tutors which is key for enhancing performance.
The policy started in January 2017 where newly employed teachers were sent outside their county of employment.
However, in the year 2018 the programme touched school principals and headteachers that it caused a chaos and a standoff between TSC and the teachers union.
Now the house has found out that the policy was not well thought out as it causes excruciating pain to teachers thus killing their morale for teachin
It also says the Teachers Service Commission went against international recommended practices for transferring and deploying teachers. TSC under pressure.
Ending teachers delocalization programme is one of the Presidents promise to teachers during his campaigns.
Many teachers have already applied for transfers and others with a replacement and others none.
Some teachers have also applied hoping to be considered despite that they have worked for less than five years since their posting.
From this latest recommendation the commission will have to consider teachers transfer request without much restriction like the period the teachers has served.
According to TSC policy teachers working in North Eastern Regions are required to have completed at least 3 years before they are transferred back to their home counties.
Teachers in other regions are required to work for at least 5 years before they are considered for transfer to their homes.
Teachers are therefore urged to be patient and serve for the at least recommendeed years before they are transfered to their home counties.
